I have two assignments due in tomorrow (well, Monday really but it counts as two days late already if you miss it). They’re basically annotated bibliographies but its not finding the references that’s the problem (though it is still a little), it’s the summaries I have to write for each one. Horrible.

I’m also devastated that Liverpool are doing so badly… :(

As soon my new internet connection is uh, connected, I’m downloading the game on PSN which is in awesome 8bit!

Talking of 8bit.. my site needs an update, doesn’t it? :P

Well now there’s more to love…

LIVERPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!

ONE HD (Ten’s sports channel) is now showing Liverpool’s (and Arsenal’s) EPL games this season! This makes me happy! They’re not live, but that’s okay. It’s free, and most games are early in the morning anyway.

Semester two starts next week on the 26th. My Mondays looks to be the worst day, ending at 7.30pm. Yea, I know. Start at 4.30… but my problem is. MYTHBUSTERS!
The show is on Monday nights at guess what time.. 7.30.

Haha.

All the other days have 8.30am starts. High school all over again (at least on three days of the week anyway).

This means that the Netherlands are the best team in World Cup history to never have won the cup itself, having made it to the final twice prior and had won all of their qualifying matches and final matches leading up to last night. Quite a feat indeed. Guess who the last team who managed to do the same was.. Brazil – only they had won the final as well.

On another note.
PAUL THE OCTOPUS WAS RIGHT! He correctly guess all of Germany’s matches correctly which included a Spain win. He also correctly predicted Spain as the outright winners of the World Cup. Eight out of eight means that it was the most successful animal oracle this world cup. (A parrot in Singapore had predicted Netherlands I believe..)

Also:

I paid off the remaining amount of my booking today. Turns out there was a schedule change so we’ll be flying out earlier than expected with a four hour stopover along the way, before going to Tokyo.

So this is it. From today,
174 days to go!

And on a side note, there is 161 days to my birthday. :P

Will hopefully pay off the rest tomorrow…

Bring it on mother nature! Let’s see if it tops the March storms.

Turns out there weren’t enough seats to fit us all in one flight so after some negotiation and “debate” we decided that the three guys would fly on a Garuda flight. The other three are planning something else, not sure what yet. The other option was to fly Thai, but it was the more expensive option which included an overnight stay at Bangkok. It wasn’t practical for one of us (money being the main issue) so we just settled on Garuda.

We should be booking our tickets on Wednesday.

Six of us going in the end hopefully. Here’s the story with the other three. One person couldn’t go without another person who couldn’t go without her brother who is in China. Hence we can’t book them in yet.

I was reading article on it and I just had to quote these lines:

In today’s society, man is powerful – We can travel at 60 mph; we can fly; we can connect with just about anyone, anywhere, at anytime. But on the street, people pass by each other ignoring the wonderful existence of other beings. We are overwhelmed by the attention needed to gain and execute our own power – just like we are in most video games. While we are doing that, we can become isolated and insecure deep inside our mind.

On the contrary, when we are hiking in the wild, we become tiny and weak again. These feelings make every other person we encounter much more important and enjoyable. We greet them, giving them genuine and useful help. We might travel together for a period, learn from and rely on each other. Struggling against the dangerous nature together, somehow, makes us warm and powerful inside. (This doesn’t make any rational sense, but somehow that’s how I feel. And I’m sure many of us do.)

Isn’t this just so true?

So next time you walk down the street, think about how isolated you are and how other people on the street are feeling. Make their day, smile and acknowledge their existence.

And don’t we all love that warm and fuzzy feeling inside?
